[OCtober] marble run

Oh man this OC sure is obvious huh..
This is Althea she says hello :)

Originally, I was going to give Althea a Sylvanian because I think a mouse figurine would be super cute in her hands, and the Sylvanian family dolls have the same elegance that present day Althea carries -- but mysterious young Smalllthea of the past? That girl's parents would not get her a Sylvanian (and she'd know not to beg for it, either).

So I gave her marbles instead :]
I thought this was kinda funny because marbles are a bit harder to develop attachments to in the same way that you like your plushies or your lego figurines -- like, you can have a lucky marble or a favourite marble but it's not the same type of fondness, y'know? Marbles also feel like an any-class game -- it doesn't have the wealth aspect that Sylvanians do.

I think Smallthea would be super competitive with marble games -- she seems like someone who would have a really bad reaction to losing (and having to forfeit all of the marbles she's won from other people). Have you heard of this person who was buried with a bunch of knuckle bones? If Althea could die, she would've been buried with her marbles hahaOct 15, 2026

extra things I wanted to say:

• I don't know where her left (our right) thumb has gone?? I heavily referenced my own photos for this I have both thumbs I don't know how it just. disappeared??

• I wanted to show Smallthea in the marble initially, but I also really wanted to keep the hands for the composition. Filing away that vision for a later date I suppose?

• I'm trying to come up with puns for all of the younger versions of the SoS cast -- Alittlexis, Smallthea, Fillyen, Minixxine... I'm just stuck on Edel and Vera this is a cry of help for pun ideas :(
