[OCtober] Seven. Seven human souls.
oh hey, look! The icons I was referring to yesterday :]Edel's hair isn't that short, I just didn't want xir entire length taking up all that space (since Blackout and Sparkbright are hogging the area already-).
I couldn't figure out how to arrange the icons since they don't work into a neat circle, so I combined it with what I think their soul types would be in Undertale :]
Also I find it funny how this specific arrangement highlights the similarities between the main six in terms of their general disposition -- Luci and Spark being all cheery happy while The Wolf and Blackout are the only ones frowning pfft-

The Wolf: [Determination]
Of course our little hero would have a soul of Determination. Sometimes it feels like the only thing that keeps him moving -- this focused, all-consuming drive to fulfil the prophecy and defy the destruction headed towards the Lambs. One has to wonder what will become of him once he accomplishes his goal.
Blackout: [Perseverance]
The endurerrrrr. Perseverance and Determination are pretty similar to each other (and Patience, to some extent as well), and I feel like one of the main differences is direction/drive/intent. Determination feels like this ceaseless motion towards a goal, while Perseverance is continuation, constant endurance for the sake of it. Blackout is someone who says she doesn't want to try, or talks about how nice it would be to just give everything up -- and yet, she still continues. She's someone whose body doesn't know how to die.
Edelweiss: [Integrity]
Edel was the easiest to figure out pfft- Xir whole schtick is standing by what xe believes in, even when it's the difficult path (even when it's to xir detriment -- even when it places xim against the rest of the world). Mr. Moral Compass who will rarely waver for others etc. etc.
The Sleepwalker: [Patience]
These last three were kinda hard to figure out! I was heavily debating between Patience and Perseverance for Walker, but the former felt more fitting. At her current point of life, I think Walker is alright with waiting for what the next day has to offer. Tomorrow, more problems may arise. Tomorrow, it can all get worse. Tomorrow, there's another chance to make things better.
Lucien: [Kindness]
THIS ONE WAS THE HARDEST ONE AAAA. For all that Luci's the main character, I haven't fully settled on how exactly they go about in the narrative. One of the songs I associate with her is "Detective Detective" (Static-P), and one of the phrases in the chorus is "master of human interactions, a friendly face" -- and I love this image of Lucien being a dorky, awkward teen who is also very socially intelligent. The whole reason it became the protagonist for this story was because it was the one who maintained connections between Blackout and the former Reverie kids! I feel like they have this vested interest in the people around them and strive for the world to be better and kinder -- and kindness felt like it would be at the heart of it all.
Sparkbright: [Determination]
My weird lil freak <4 There's an answer that she's dedicated her entire life to finding, and she's changed so much from the person she once was in service of this goal. Perhaps it can be called Bravery to let go of everything you once knew (and oo she would've loved that since Bravery is orange bahaha), but for Spark? There simply was no other option -- there was no life she could live in without answering that call.Oct 10, 2026

I love your break downs of all the traits, I feel like the difference between Perseverance and Determination specifically is super cool and the type of thing I love thinking about hehe! I love Lucien sm btw
