Oleander

All right, I'm back ladies and gentlemen!

Took longer than expected due to real life situations, but I am here.

Without further ado, I am going to start off a new art series called "Deathly Beautiful" that will feature flowers that are— well— beautiful, but poisonous for humans.

Those flowers that I draw will be turned into keychains in the future, but not like the ones you've seen in my shop/booth.
We're beginning with the Oleander flower.

It's a Mediterranean plant, also known as rosebay. It blooms these colorful flowers during warm conditions. Despite its beauty, its poisonous qualities have been known since ancient times with Pliny the Elder. Everything, from its bark, flowers, fruits, leaves, roots, seeds, sap, and stems, are considered highly toxic. They have toxic cardiac glycosides, nerioside and oleandroside. The sap causes skin irritation if you touch it. When the rest of the parts are ingested, it can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, slow or irregular heartbeat, dizziness, diarrhea, and— in severe cases— cardiac arrest and death.

Morbid isn't it? Apparently, it can likewise cause Depression. It's a weird one.

I would also like to make an announcement: I FINALLY updated my Ko-fi shop. I added the new stickers, a keychain, a bookmark, and a print. Please go take a look! I even changed shipping prices and everything. for most items.

I'm opening commissions as well, but not on Ko-fi just yet. I'm not sure if I should get VGen because it looks like it's more for digital artists than traditional ones. Anywho, if anyone is interested or has a question, you can DM me!

Welcome to my new macabre series!Aug 26, 2026
