Pharoah
Pharoah is a powerful villain with incredible strength, wings that can slice through steel, and the ability to fly even in space, riding stellar winds as easily as air currents. He is Jett's mortal enemy, and is the right hand of the supervillain Gravituum.I had mentioned in the previous post that I was kind of seeing elements of my childhood OC Robodude in my mind's conception of this character, but as I started drawing him, it turned out much differently. I did basically steal Robodude's helmet though. Instead, I leaned more heavily into my initial inspiration, which is the color pattern of a bird called a European finch. Last year I was admiring some American finches that were hanging out in my yard, and I had searched pictures of them thinking that I might draw one at some point (which I still haven't done). But the search also yielded pictures of a bird I had never heard of, the European finch. Both are beautiful creatures, but the European finch looks almost like it's draped in an American flag, but with some bright yellow and black mixed in. So since Europe boy stole the American colors, he's obviously a villain. I named this character Pharoah because he also kinda ended up looking like one of those scarab beetles that are big in Egyptian mythology. They're also featured on Journey album cover art, so I guess I could have named him Steve Perry, but I thought Pharoah sounded better.Sep 19, 2026

•Oh, so NOW autocorrect decides to kick in and let me know that I've been misspelling Pharaoh the whole time. It's always confusing because there's that stupid useless A in there. It doesn't serve any purpose, just gets in the way and causes confusion. Kinda like congress, or the orange barrels on I-75.

WOAAHH!!! This guy looks like a tough obstacle- I wouldn’t want to get in his way in broad daylight.
I love that you took inspiration from such a beautiful creature!! I would love to see these two battle it out because it’ll seem like a hard battle.

And yes, he has full arms. The attached wings obscure the view, but I wanted to draw him from the back to get the full visual of those wings. Plus, this dude never misses back day, and he wants you to know it.
