I love dragonflies. A couple years ago, I went out to get in my car and there was a dragonfly on my car door, basically straddling the seam between the car door and the... whatever you'd call it, the part of the car body that isn't the door. So I put my hand out right next to him (her? I have no idea), and to my surprise, he* stepped right onto my finger. I thought it was cool that he was so trusting of me, and I let him perch there for a few seconds, but then I needed to get in the car and get where I was going, so I gave my finger shake and bid him to be on his way. But he just stood there. And I was like, "Buddy, I'm glad we bonded but I gotta go" and then I looked closer. He wasn't paying a bit of attention to me. He has some random insect cracked open like it was a king crab and was just devouring its innards. He was too engrossed in his meal to give a crap about me. Still a fun moment though
