Animal Protagonist Challenge

Let's wake up your inner child! 🐵 ■ take your favorite animal / an animal you think is cool, or deserves more attention ■ pick a form of animation (cartoon, anime, animated movie) and choose a genre ■ design your animal as if it was the main protagonist ■ you can make your animal look more close to nature, or make it anthropomorphic 🐺OPTIONAL🐺 □ for an extra challenge; make your style resemble the genre you picked! □ for an extra EXTRA challenge; got a specific inspiration? Make your style resemble the studio/person behind your inspiration (Disney, Studio Ghibli, Tim Burton, your choice!) The deadline is March 1! I'll leave this challenge open after the deadline has ended, in case anyone wants to try it out afterwards. The winner will receive a drawing of their Animal Protagonist. Every entry will be shared too 🐱 You can also submit multiple entries if you like! You are free to do this in any form of media you like. Go wild and have fun! 🐶

ElI decided to draw/paint an older character of mine for @akanemnon 's challenge~

El is a camel I've used previously in a short story, and while thinking about what type of animation might suit it best, i was reminded of the "Loving Vincent" film.
It was quite experimental with the (very time consuming) animation, but i find the idea of a fully painted animation to be quite fitting for the story & character ^^

(though, before i ever concider working on a project like that, i should probably get a hang of painting first :p)Jan 12, 2021
