MAKE AN ALIEN RACE! (Apologies for the badly drawn Artfol Space station)

☆ = Important, must read ● = optional, should read ○ = tips/extra This is a place we can have our strange and cool creations can have fun together, so be kind and have fun! *Deep Space 9 theme plays off-key on a trumpet* WELCOME, you and your crew have just seen a distant starbase, known as 'Station: Artfol' a space station in the deepest reaches of space, made to be an area for different alien species and races to meet together. Your ship lands in one of the three different sized docking bays, the moment you step off the platform you see the combination of inanimate and animate technology, coupled with biological technologies. You see aliens, androids, humanoid, non-humanoid, all shapes and sizes. ☆ rules: make at least one OC for your species. Ask the artist who you might want to colab with on a comic, interaction, redraw, etc. Once you are posting your work, add the tag: #stationartfol to it. Ask if you can put an OC or species in someone else's art (see below). ☆ recommend: make 'Stock Art' of places on base, this isn't a rule, but for fun. It's your choice. ● human factions and colonies do exist in here (like star trek) but we're not boring, so if you're going to add one, think REALLY outside the box ● recommend: make lots of lore and info about your races, helps your story-making skills ○ when adding info, I recommend for the species, do it in the bio area where you type stuff out when posting, means you aren't limited by your canvas (and you havemore space for other stuff). For OCs this isn't really needed ☆ HAVE FUN Please note, I'll be working on some artwork not related to this, so I relying on YOU for this... no pressure lol. I will join in tho.

The Xaka, an interesting species, having four ears a pare of (mostly) redundant gills, two tounges, blue teeth, and higher brain functions.

Originating on the planet 'Edak' the primitive Xaka were a nomadic people, having a penguin-like life, you could say. The men staying at whatever camp was set up, utilising their two-didget feet to hold their unhatched children, the egg having an umbilical cord that would attach to the father's belly, which would then, eat away at the bellybutton scar from when HE was a hatchling, absorbing shared nutrients for 2 months before hatching. The females at this time, would gather food for the fathers, before taking over the parental role once the child hatched, with the fathers beginning hunting for meat, and conquering other tribes.

The reproduction of the Xaka is not what you'd expect, it's half asexually done. The Mother would randomly get pregnant with the egg (in today's period where they have higher brain functions, in which they can control their bodies in ways that were previously automatic, they now choose when to create this egg) and after 5 months of gestation they would be laid, by exiting the mother through an oraface that was once where the umbilical cord was. After 2 months of nutrients, 2-4 babies would hatch, from a new softened shell, and be cared for by the mother, from then on it's young life would be like a human's

A lifestyle like this, would continue for thousands of years, before the era of enlightenment, where they used technology to give them full control over their body, allowing them to alter their heart rate and emotions (the chemical reactions that caused them) at will.

Now they are a more inquisitive people, the conquering altered slightly, into assimilation, where they would attempt to have as much of a varied population as possible, species-wise.

They are a lot like stereotypical aliens of the 60s, bringing you up in their spaceship to scan you and probe you (not THERE, get your mind out of the gutter)

The Xaka's empire is not a stereotypical tyrannical one, but make no mistake, it is still an empire, bent on assimilating every species they find.

End.

I uh, tried to make this as pg as possible while also trying to explain things, please don't report me, lol
