TW: FIREARM
Girls With Guns!!Trigger Warning! This piece features a firearm illustrated although not very photo realistic.
This was an experiment. I keep wanting to use screen tones but I'm still figuring it out. I keep trying and they don't end up looking right. So I tried with some of the screen tones I found on csp. Next, I might try some brushes that imitate screen tones.
I'm not a fan of coloring. I don't find it as fun as line art or shading. If i ever wanted to start producing a comic, I would want it to primarily be in black and white with color used to make an emphasis. This would make production easier on me and therefore, faster. Also, it won't make me feel as upset to draw, which is a 100% plus!
The featured lineart underneath that, of course, is just some experimentation with csp props. I'm not a fan but I can definitely pull something off if necessary. Having a character interact with a prop can be really hard to find references of - especially complicated props. So, if I can find a place holder to help me out, I am most definitely going to make life easier on myself.
And guns are complicated to draw. Really complicated!!
But also, seeing a little woman with a giant weapon is such a great juxtaposition that it just strikes my fancy. I also think that if I made a line of these, I could sell them as prints. But that will have to be put on hold. I could also do swords, maces, axes, etc. etc. It would be fun! Not all of them will have guns.Jun 5, 2024
