little freak eyes
This was a fun challenge! I'm super art blocked right now so it was nice to do something pretty chill where I didn't have to worry about anatomy. It's always sooo hard choosing characters to do this sort of thing for but these two felt like one of the pairs that would be the most interesting.Honestly I am... bad at drawing facial features on characters consistently (because I also can't recognize them irl) so other than eye size they change quite a lot.
But for the eyes themselves Niamh has VERY black eyes with almost no iris. More close to an animal in appearance than a human. Kind of unsettling if you look at them up close (but I always think it's cute in designs)
Ailbhe's eyes are pretty standard human other than the brand from Niamh that marks his immortality. He usually keeps it hidden since it's pretty rare for gods to get attached to humans and WILL get a lot of attention. It disrupts his vision, so he's nearly blind in that eye but he can see a bit more than the average human can when it comes to supernatural stuff. Always dark shadows under his eyes because he is constantly having a bad time.Oct 11, 2026

Oh wow this looks SO NICE. first of all so happy this challenge felt right during art block. I totally get it. And second I really liked reading about the features these two's eyes have!
They look really charming up close
