Create a merfolk oc

I really love the idea of tiny merpeople based of ornamental fish. So I created a prompt list for mermay in 2020 but couldn't do it at that time. Well it isn't 2020 anymore, or at least may... but I figured I would like to share my prompt list to maybe inspire one of you. Save it for may or create right away, use one or all suggestions or find your own perfect little fish for your design. Just have fun! And of course it doesn't have to be a mermaid. I never did a challenge before so I have no clue how it will work best. I want to share your designs so please tag me to be sure. No deadline and no winners (at least for this challenge).
