What do you think of the dark background and bright glow? Here's another color version of my Chimera from a few days ago.
Maybe I should draw more creature portraits/illustrations like this??? Perhaps by darkening up the scene, I can make things more dramatic with light and glowing elements???
*I like the idea of drawing a full body Chimera or fantasy creature in this style, I'm just not too sure about the pose, lighting, etc
Definitely not what I usually draw, but I kinda like the idea, especially because the glowing part really draws the viewers eye.
Any suggestions are welcome:)
*Just nothing demonic or super violent
Thanks

I love this! I would implement the idea of darkening the background, and if you’re working with b&w only you could use the light to give the character sort of a bright “outline” to make it pop from the darker back, kinda like when light hits from the back. Looks awesome tho!

•I like It a lot and by the way I would expan de lighting, add another colors which are a little darker than the purple and use them to extend the light, I think that would help to be more catchy to the eye
