Curiosities [Finished]Finally finished it! Motivation left me for a week or two but got it done. Pretty happy with it, I think this is one of my best peices.

Screechers are symbiotic creatures that bind with human hosts in symbiotic relationships, a closed species made by my friend @iamascientificbrain on insta, known as awildsassafras on DeviantArt.

"Everything felt blurry, as I stumbled through the thick forest. My head felt fuzzy…no my whole body felt fuzzy, like it wasn't my own. The sensation of pins and needles racked up and down my spine, down my arms and up my legs.
Blinking a few times my eyes adjusted, looking at my limbs coated in a void like black substance. But that didn't bother me for some odd reason. I felt calm, my mind quiet.
This sense of peace was almost eerie, I couldn't remember my own name, but I felt as if that was okay. This was normal.
Maybe it was me losing myself to this black stuff that encased my body, yet my mind still felt in contact. Why? How?
It felt as if some time had passed, I definitely wasn't in the city anymore, I was deep in some forest. This thing that I shared a body with, felt relieved we were alone. I could slowly feel them letting go of their control over me, as we continued to go deeper in the forest.

Coming up to a small clearing, a pond sat. In the distance ducks and swans made slow figure eights throughout the water in their graceful  elegance. The green grass still had dew on the ground, as the temperature cooled, as it got more cool outside. I could see the fog from my breath each time I breathed out, yet I didn't feel the cold, yet rather warm.

Bending down, I scooped some water into my mouth. Looking up for a moment I saw something floating in the air, it was a piece of sun. Sitting up, its wings kept it flying around the tall grass in the pond, it arced to one side coming back to me. I was transfixed with this small ball of sun as it came closer to me. Doing a few loops in the air, it landed beside me on the ground. I felt compelled to touch it, but I didn't want to kill it, so very slowly I reached out and poked it, very very gently.
It sat there for a few seconds before, getting up it started to fly off. It was so pretty, I couldn't let it leave just yet. Leaping in the air, I caught it with my two hands. It buzzed against my skin, trying to find an opening in my hands.
I had planned to keep the pretty ball of sun with me, but then as I looked around, there were more of them. That he had friends and that I couldn't keep him lonely, that his friends probably needed him.
Letting him go, he flew off into the night with his friends."
