Marinière

I KNOW I said I was going to post this a while ago but yk... Finals
Now a little context on the sailor, or marinière in french!
Disclaimer : I'm of course not a pro in history of fashion, I invite you to do you own research

The sailor, in France, is both the marine military uniform and the undershirt wore underneath (the striped shirt!)
In 1916, Coco Chanel decided to turn this undershirt into a daily worn cloth.
She designed a shirt that would be worn by women, it was quite risqué since the sailor was known to be a 'man outfit' !
But it did work well, soon enough the sailor, or 'marinière' became a representative of the french fashion!
Here I decided to put my character Adrian in this outfit bc I'm obsessed with the sont plus I like the sailor uniform and ofc I wore a marinière when I was young
I still kept the uniform on top! But it's not the french military navy one so please don't go on comment section and tell me what I did wrong with it, it's purely an aesthetic choice

This looks so cool omg! I love your use of negative space and implied outlines with the limited colour palette, and the outfit itself looks so so good, I adore it
