sneaker demonswoot, finally got this done!!
im happy to finally introduce a couple fun silly characters, Righty and Leftie. they're monsters/demons but also shoes??? honestly I'm kinda still developing them to an extent. may or may not grow them into proper OCs beyond this challenge. :)
these two solemates (eh? eh?

) were pretty tough to draw because for whatever reason I decided to monsterify shoes, which I do not draw very often, and then I went and gave them wings, which I also do not draw very often.
anyway. I wound up doing a mixed media spread in my sketchbook. the fully colored ones are posca on Bristol board that I pasted in with rubber cement. I filled the rest of the space with just some random inked sketches to try & show more angles and experiment with actions & expressions.Sep 9, 2021

Oh, I LOVE these two!! Theyβre so cute and cool, and also a bit freaky in a funny way!! Their colors look neat together, and all their monster features worked surprisingly well!
You managed to get a balance in the design, with the perfect amount of details and expression! And itβs not easy to work out shoes the way you did, I respect that!

Also, the fact this is mixed media makes the spread even cooler, I loved how the lil doodles complement the big drawings you did of them!
I can definitely see them in a comic strip or as more fleshed out characters in a big piece, their chaotic energy is pretty strong, and I like it! :P
Thank you so much for joining my challenge, I loved how your entry turned out!!
