Artfol NewbieSaw this challenge by clicking on buttons and seeing what happened
Following the intro supplied, I'm Hayley (aka the maybebee).
I studied art through school and college but felt as though education crushed my creativity so it wasn't until last year (the dreaded lockdown year) that I once again picked up a pen and began to draw.
My artwork can vary quite drastically in content but generally, I stick to using biro pens and just putting a surreal twist on something. All in all, this often leads to rather quirky or random characters.
My motivation for drawing again was actually someone I met at the start of last year (they're quite stubborn and really pushed for me to aim for what had been a big dream)
Due to the above, I began following a few art pages on Instagram and watching studio vlogs on YouTube. It was through these that I heard about the artfol app. As the Instagram algorithm time and time again proves to be difficult for artists, I wanted to try this app and be more involved in a creative community. (And golly it looks like there's some amazing creatives on here!)
I'm not interested in numbers but I am quite hopeful to meet some creative people and share tips and tricks or do collaborations with. (Surely not all artists are as antisocial as in movies right)
Thanks for reading! Hope to see some more wonderful pieces on here!Apr 21, 2021
