Goretober - ImpaledI missed out last year so I’m trying to do goretober this summer instead.
I don't have anything profound to say about this drawing because there is literally no meaning behind it. It's just Melancholy impaled on a thorn by a Butcher Bird because that seemed gnarly. I do like how it turned out though.
I had to cut down trees like this at my grandparents farm. They were very sharp, very thick, and SUCKED. I think they're called honey locust trees.
look them up, they're terrifying lol. Now imagine having to duck massive spikes while trying to cut away limbs with a little hand saw and clippers and you'll understand what I went through.
I thankfully didn't find any grisly treasures, but I don't think Shrike's live in that part of the country.May 30, 2022
