I Honestly Don’t Know What To Call ThisHi guys, here’s another piece continuing the emotions-ish series (idk what to really call it tbh). I’m not naming this one because I don’t really know what to call the emotion associated with it other than mania, but I also don’t want to take away that term from how it’s used to describe bipolar disorder, since I’m not diagnosed, so I’d rather not label it at least for the time being. Anyways, I tried to emulate it in this piece as best as I could. I also combined designs from my “Free” and “Self Destruction” pieces, using the updated robotic-esc look plus an updated design on the internal parts. It was really challenging because I decided to be a lot more detailed with this piece, doing the clockwork-inside and the junkyard in the background separately, but it was still a pretty fun process :D

I wanted to try to convey something I’ve felt a lot after getting extremely overwhelmed and going through a lot of negative emotions, where I felt elated in the idea of destroying everything in my life. I would say that in the “timeline” between the pieces, it would come after “Self Destruction”. I end up feeling like I’m on top of the world, like nothing can bother or touch me, and I had the freedom to wreck everything around me and was excited to do so. To show that, I used purple touches in the hair and eyes because it’s seen as a royal color, and then a lot more yellows to emulate that “positive” feeling. I also included a variety of other colors in the hair and bruising around exposed parts to show the general overwhelm and mix of emotions that come with this feeling

Following this there are 4 more pieces left, and then I’m not sure when Ill be posting again. I start classes next week and I’ll have basically no free time until August, so I will likely be on hiatus for a while.
