Trip to Soup Islands
The weather forecast promised a month of unstoppable sunshine... What devastating news! Who in their right mind would want that! So we went on a trip! To the Soup Islands! More precisely - Pompom. The brochure said: "keep away! Danger! Just don't go!" - it sounded marvelous, so we had to go there.We used the Sly Fox services for our travels. Well it's not like it used to be... The whale's mouth was clean, quite dry and for some reason minty? And the food didn't have a fishy aftertaste... Was somewhat smooth. Well, at least, we had a chance to witness a great battle with a few gigantic squids. I'd say, 4/5 stars! The sounds of ghost submarines were on fire too!
The island is swallowed by deep, tall, darkest jungle, full of unpredictable "danger". Quite lovely I'd say. They had a lil roted placer that says: " you're not welcome! Go back where you came from! Danger!"- it was written in pre Sumerian. So welcoming! Along the way to the heart of this island, we got lost, maybe five times walking in circles, it had a fascinating cause- apparently, the plants were moving in the same circles. They tried to eat us. How cute!!! So cute, that we picked some as pets to bring home. Then we were ambushed by several pigmy cannibal tribes. With some, we're on letter writing terms, and with others... Well... Let's say- they weren't into nor ready for drunken mayhem - how unprofessional... Unfortunately...
After reaching the heart of this marvelous jungle, we had a picnic! Ol' good tortoise sandwiches, some killer bee's mead, fruit that we picked along the way- they made our tongues tingle, and a few gigantic beatles for Rodger. I'd say - a darn good picnic! Tho at the end, while drinking tea, a bloody rude worm interrupted us. Like, can't you wait? It's rude, especially during tea time. Anyway, it was a great after meal exercise! Rodger went all out! Lil fella was so exhausted afterwards, that he didn't even put up the fight before his nap time. Yes, he still needs naps.
Now, we're back home, reminiscing about the good time we had and it's finally a storm season! We got this parcel delivered just now. It appears that, one of the tribes had a very talented painter, he painted our lil scruffle with tha worm. And sent it to us as a souvenir! What an amazing trip! If you have an existing problem with too much sunshine - We highly recommend it!
