Non-sexual nudity
Aphrodite [Challenge]I decided to participate in this DTIYS which is to draw your version of the greek goddess Aphrodite!

I decided to design her both based on my preferences as well as what has been concidered beautiful throughout history. I dunno where or from whom, but I swear I heard somewhere once that fuller women were concidered beautiful at one point in history and because of that, I made Aphrodite have such a body type. I gave her orange/golden brown hair because I personally find this the most beautiful natural hair color. And lastly I gave her henna inspired blue tattos to gives contrast to her more warmer design.

I put her in a pond filled with waterlilies, but I didn´t know what to do with the rest of the background, so I ended up using one of my washi tapes for it.

Thank you so much for this challenge!

This is beautiful, I love the warm shading :)
I also heard that fuller woman were considered especially beautiful in history! Explanation I heard was that it was a sign of prosperous life, that a woman can afford required needs and be healthy. They're beautiful till today though. x3 ❤️ It was a clever choice for Aphrodite I think!! All the features you used work in harmony together and I like this version of Aphrodite. She's so beautiful... <3 What's also beautiful is how you portrayed nudity in art way! This is instincts make us sexualize, but in truth this is just body of human. It's precious when it's drawn purely as our nature. Respect for this!! 👍 (Also look on her face seems confident and happy, it adds pleasant positive energy to the drawing x3)

Great work!!!!!!! ♡(> ਊ <)♡
I love the colors in the this, the blues and oranges are satisfying all parts of my brain-- her tattoos are beautiful too, such a nice idea!!
I'm gonna say it here too:

So pretty, I love the contrast of her hair with the bright blue water and lotuses! Your traditional art is always lovely to see ♡♡
