Deuce joins karaoke nightAfter Artfol refused to open for a day or two, I can FINALLY post this drawing now!!!!
This is my entry to the Cipher Academy voice claims <3
The song I used is "cut my fingers off" by Ethan Bortnick because while the singing itself feels too calm compared to Deuce's personality, the tone of the voice and the energy put into slamming piano keys suit him very well.
Also ,,,, the color scheme of the music video was just on point-
Another song of that artist, I'd consider fitting is "Engravings" by the same artist because it just further shows the "the energy put into slamming piano keys suits Deuce very well"-thing.
However, the lyrics of "cut my fingers off" are FAR MORE fitting than those of Engravings.
....and I love I could go more into detail about it but y'all don't know Deuce well enough to actually understand the whole emotional depth of what I'd like to say so ....yeah, just go listen to the song and interpret it yourself, I guess.
ANYWAY, while looking for songs I could use for Deuce, I stumbled upon "Tourist" by Jon Cozart and it gave me Florence vibes? He isn't a Cipher Academy student per se but since he used to be Deuce's closest friend in the history of ever, I thought he deserves a voice too <3
It's a very cute song, actually!
(Then again, it includes lines like "and I know that we tried to survive on a lie we couldn't endure" and if you know, you know-
