⋆｡+˚Star Reader‧₊˚⋆ F A Y E [Cipher Academy]@cherrytwelve 's Cipher Academy is so cool! I had to partake! >ㅅ< This is my first challenge too hehe, so, it's extra exciting! I've been reading up on as much Cipher Academy info as possible, that I could find, so hopefully my student will be accepted (please tell me if anything adjustments need to be made)!

Power/Ability: Star Reader
⋆ Explanation: While looking at a star filled night sky Faye can receive visions of the past. Currently she knows little about her powers but what she does know is that she can only get visions at night and that she has to be able to see the stars to get them. These visions are usually from the third perspective. Even though the sun is a star it is simply too close and does not allow Faye to gaze at it for a prolonged amount of time, something she would have to do to receive a vision.
Faye will be able to stay in visions longer the stronger she becomes, mainly mentally but also physically. I am hoping the Cipher Academy will help her reach her full potential. The more she learns about the stars, the better she will understand the visions. When she has mastered her powers she will also be able to look at specific constellations to conjure a specific type of vision.
⋆ Description: Faye defies gravity and starts to float while having a vision. She also starts to glow like a star, most noticeably her hair, eyes and freckles. Her freckles turn white and some form star constellations. Her hair and eyes also turn a lighter colour and glow brightly. It is as if she gets possessed and sucked into the vision.
⋆ Drawback: There are many drawbacks to her power. Having a vision is draining and the longer they go on for, the more energy she loses. If she were to get stuck in a vision, she could lose her life, but she should not either get forcefully pulled out of a vision/have her visions be disrupted because that would cause severe damage to her mind. As mentioned, Faye's power is connected to the stars and she has to be able to see the stars, therefore they do not work during cloudy nights or if the sky is too bright, such as when the sun is out, during a full moon or in a brightly lit city. Faye is desperate to, with her power, be useful, and since they only work at night she stays up most nights to increase the chance of her receiving a vision. Thus she is always very sleep deprived. Because of this she, for example, does not do well in class, often falling asleep. Even though Faye can not receive visions from the sun, it does affect her in other ways. It is for her a constant and overwhelming power and results in Faye being very sensitive to sunlight, almost like a vampire. Being exposed to the sun drains her energy and leaves her very weak.

Background: It is a whole essay, too long to include in this post, but I'd like to tell her full backstory sometime! Here is a quick summary: Faye was very isolated before coming to Cipher Academy, because of her unusual looks her parents felt as if they had to protect her from the dangerous world. She was locked inside but fell in love with the sun, and after much convincing she was allowed to go out. Once out, what her parents feared the most happened. Other kids harassed her because she was different. She fled into the forest and got lost. Night fell and she saw the stars for the first time, it was enchanting, and that very same night her powers were unlocked. Her first vision was of Cipher Academy.

⋆ Faye is scared of the dark, not terrified, but scared, hence she loves company while stargazing. Since she has to be up most nights until late, not many people are willing to stay with her, so she collects stuffed animals to keep her company.

about the long as heck wait so, as not to make you wait any longer, I'll just get to the analysis!! 
First of all, Faye's design is SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL!! 
Her whole colour palette looks amazing + her fashion sense and soft hair give her a really cute vibe 
I was a bit unsure about her name tho, since we already have at least one Fae, but the extra Y helps so it's ok 
About her power: it's a bit too... open(?) I get it that basically she can communicate with the stars (who see everything) and receive info from them, but being able to see both past and present AND future AND feelings and thoughts?? That's a bit OP, even if she can't control the visions she gets, since you mention that one day she'll be able to control them, which means that in the future she'll be too powerful :/ Since the starts as you describe them are something like an all-seeing guardian, do you think you could limit her visions to things that already happened? She could still see "through other people's eyes", but only things in the past and present. Lmk what you think about this change
About her drawbacks: everything sounds perfect, but I'm left with one question: does her power only work at night? You mention that it only works while looking at the stars, but you also say she's sensitive to sun light, which means she can't use the sun (since the sun is a start) so her power wouldn't work during the day, is that right?
Every other aspect of Faye's story seems to fit in with Cipher so lmk about the ones I mentioned before and this child'll be ready to go!!
