EustaceI tried the Shuffled Music Character Design challenge/game on my Animatic music playlist (my playlist of songs I’d love to make animatics out of), and I had so much fun with the results.
1. “How Bad Can I Be” - Ed Helms (Lead singer was male, so the character would be as well)
2. “Achilles Come Down” - Gang of Youths (This song would determine the character’s style, so I decided to give him a sort of Greek Mythology aesthetic.)
3. “Candle Queen” - Ghost and Pale, Silver Chord Music (I used this song more for backstory. I came up with a sort of brooding, arrogant former Royal with a cutthroat personality. I thought it would also be fitting to give some sort of flame power as well.)
4. “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” - Aileeah Colgan, King Khancept (The cover album was used for the color palette. To be honest, this was probably my most disappointing song. I thought the colors were a bit too bland for a character since they were all shades of gray and blue :’) )
I had so much fun with this challenge I might do this again in my spare time!Jul 16, 2021
