Character Design Tropes

What are your own character design tropes? Whenever you design an oc, what do you seem to always include? Whether its freckles, gapped teeth or even strong personalities, draw out your design tropes. Character designI absolutely CAN NOT work with colors so all of my characters are either monochrome or have up to three colors in them at most (more often than not its red-blue-green combo).
Oh and I have a soft spot for monsters of all kind, espesially those with tonns of eyes C:

Ahh yes I have to agree on colours, I struggle with palettes so I usually go simple hehe!
