Medical Trauma/Nosebleed
Danny's PastTW: Forced Medical Experimentation and Trauma
Daniel Estrada grew up as a pretty normal kid in a rural New Mexico town, but you'd be hard pressed fo get him to remember any of that childhood. All he knows for certain is that his eyes used to be a normal brown and that his tattoos showed up against his will.
After making a stupid bet at the age of 17, Danny became the victim of a disappearance and was taken to be subjected to medical experiments for years. The worst experiments came when he was 22. It started with the tattoos: 3 bands of red around his neck, wrists, and ankles. These were (and still are) living tattoos. Every time his heart rate jumps to more than 100bpm (i.e. when he's stressed or excited), the tattoos jump with his heartbeat. When the tattoos were finally healed, it was time for the last experiment before he was rescued by a group of activists that found the lab. Sclera tattoos had existed for decades, but Danny's doctors wanted to know just how much trauma an eye could undergo and still maintain some bit of vision. Unfortunately, the answer was a LOT and this is why Danny is legally blind without his high-prescription glasses.
He doesn't remember most of his past and has some severe PTSD, but is working hard on making progress to mentally heal even when the physical reminders remain. He loves getting piercings and bleaching his hair when he's in an especially good head space!Aug 26, 2021
